Bordeaux, amidst heritage and vineyards

Booking an airline ticket to Bordeaux is jetting off to a metropolis with a unique heritage and a name that rings out to the taste buds of amateurs of good wine. The Gironde city relies on its two great features which create its unique charm: its architecture and its surrounding vineyards.

The Garonne has always given rhythm to the daily life of the people of this city. A flight to Bordeaux will bring you into contact with a peaceful city, filled with architectural jewels and a distinct art of living. The Gironde administrative centre has more than 350 classified monuments. Amongst them, structures worthy of consideration by UNESCO, just like the Cathedral of Saint Andrew, Quinconces Square or the imposing Cailhau Door, Renaissance masterpiece which once, and for centuries, served as the main entry to the city.

During your stay in Bordeaux allow the gentle ambience to soothe and relax you, everything from the fountains and the mist of Bourse Square, to the tranquillity of the paths of the Public Gardens and the change of scene of the artificial caves of Majolan Park. Not forgetting the gastronomy, the restaurants and the terraces of cafés offer a mixture types and flavours, everything from the quarter of Saint-Michel to Chartrons Square and the Saint Colombe Road. Worthy of its title as the capital of the world of wine, Bordeaux open itself up and can be savoured equally, across its surrounding vineyards and its volume of dedicated excursions.

A journey to Bordeaux will allow you to attend a large range of events relating to culture and sport. The international Historical Film Festival or the Agora, a biennial display of contemporary art, but also the River Festival, the Marathon of Médoc or the Carnival of the two riverbanks.

An hour away from Bordeaux you can find the Arachon basin and enjoy the Atlantic beaches, like at Cap-Ferret, seaside resort of the Silver Coast, filled with pine trees and sand dunes.
