Wild Jordan Café: the taste of organic

Healthy food, locally grown produce, charity work, and one of the best views of the Citadel and the Roman Theatre.

Steps from Rainbow Street, this excellent 'eco-friendly' restaurant offers an original and varied menu that gives pride of place to fruit and vegetables from the region. Managed by the talented Royal Academy for Nature Conservation, the café ensures that all the produce, which is from small producers in the region, is organic. Each day the menu proposes a dish or two, offering an explosion of freshness and aromatic flavours: quinoa salad, shishbarak (ground beef dumplings with garlic and coriander), spinach stew... all served with delicious date, raspberry, or mint smoothies. A prime spot for lunch, brunch at weekends, or having a drink on the terrace with a view of Lower Town and the main sites of Amman.
