Exclusively dedicated to vodka, this museum is the first of its kind in the world. It provides a thorough overview of the country's vodka-related culture and customs and different production methods, traditional consumption patterns and large producers of this famous beverage that has been an integral part of Russian life for centuries.
The highlight of the museum is its collection of bottles that belonged to the factories of the “distillation kings”, most dating back to the 19th century. In addition, you will have the opportunity to admire some splendid portraits of Tsars, as well as a magnificent set of dishes and antique china.
A tasting awaits you at the end of your tour. In a room decorated in the style of Russian bars of the early 20th century, you will be offered to taste three different types – with moderation, of course –, for example, the chilli-flavoured vodka, all accompanied by delicious local hors-d'oeuvre.
