This boutique hotel, opened in partnership with the ACE group, who have hotels in London, New York, and LA, is housed in a beautifully restored neoclassical building.
In 1917, the year of its construction, this was the tallest building in the country, containing a shopping centre and luxury housing. Today, the hotel symbolises the new life of the local architectural scene. Guests wander in a boho-chic setting with beautiful wood and Mexican tile floors, fabrics with palm motifs, and pleasant Italian courtyards.
The 50 rooms are elegant and sober, enhanced with a colonial touch of charm, featuring wood panelling, retro furniture and Belle Époque claw-foot bathtubs.
Besides the lively pool on the top of the building, there is a jazz bar and an elegant ground-floor restaurant with China blue cement tiles, high ceilings, and Nicaraguan furniture. A true gem.
