Saint James Paris, romantic hideaway built in the 19th century

Saint James Paris, romantic hideaway built in the 19th century

This Second Empire hotel has been full of surprises ever since designer Bambi Sloan put a gloss on its riches and dressed its marbles in various modern fashions.

When her husband, former President Adolphe Thiers, died, Élise Thiers built this townhouse for penniless students to be able to finish their studies. It then became a private club.
The Saint James now opens its doors to a clientele seeking calm and elegance. For dinner, gourmets will revel in the gastronomic cuisine of chef Adrien Brunet. Do not pass by one of his signature dishes, the steamy John Dory with lime, caramelised potatoes in seaweed butter and seashell cream. Delicious brunches can be enjoyed in the park as soon as the sun greets the flowerbeds. A Guerlain spa can also be found at basement-level.
Member of the Relais & Châteaux, the Saint James Hotel offers a prestigious experience spiced up by Bambi Sloan's touches of fantasy. The designer transformed the interiors into a trendy hotel, with ultra-private suites in the two pavilions of the courtyard, and large rooms in the main building overlooking the gardens.
