Pest-Buda, Budapest's oldest hotel

Drawing on three centuries of existence and undeniable character, the Pest-Buda was entirely renovated to better welcome travellers

From the outside, it is hard to immagine that the hotel opened in… 1696! The eldest of Budapest's hospitality business, Pest-Buda shows no traces of aging. The establishment has known how to modernise its infrastructure along the years, in the Buda Castle neighbourhood by the ramparts. At the same time, it retained some traces of its past since the Baroque-style brick roof is the original. For a time, the hotel had a lacklustre appearance, but the ground floor bistro has always a city hallmark.
After extensive renovation works, Pest-Buda offers ten rooms, suites and apartments. Please note that in order to preserve the integrity of the building, which is listed as a historical monument, no elevator has been installed, and rooms are therefore only accessible through the staircase. A bohemian spirit permeates the air, with the use of retro-modern designs and quality materials in a friendly atmosphere. In the morning, take your breakfast on the last floor under a glass roof. A magical moment with Budapest in the background.
