One of the last remaining outdoor swimming pools in Paris, it was closed for 25 years. During all that time, it was used as a beautiful 1930s style playground for squatters and street artists. May of 2014 marked its eagerly awaited rebirth. Swimming pool, restaurant or gym? No one really knew what to expect.
It now offers each of the above as an MGallery by Sofitel, part of the collection of historic boutique hotels by AccorHotels. 117 modern rooms, 7 refined suites and a restaurant, led by chef Nader Hassan, all revolve around the central summer pool.
Located outdoors, the latter invites you to a very relaxing breaststroke swim, the water temperature remaining at 28°C all year long. In the meantime, the winter pool and its blue cabins over three levels are a call to more biting crawl movements. The rooftop, perfect for lazing about, and the 1,600-sqm Spa by Clarins will also get your vote of confidence.
