Also called 'Um Khalil's', the name of the restaurant's founder, Lebanon House is known throughout the country. Its divine cuisine has been a success since it opened in 1977. The fresh bread and almonds served before the dishes are alone worth a visit. And what about the 120 hot and cold mezze: vegetarian moussaka, labneh, makdous, mouhamara. It is a festival of irresistible flavours.
The desserts are just as flawless and delicate. Here, the entire staff is Lebanese, including the waiters. Consisting of several rooms and a large outdoor patio, Lebanese House looks like a typical Beirut bistro. The best tables are on the patio, facing the mountains of Jerash. A treat!
