Kvartira Kosti Kreutz, when an apartment hides a restaurant

Perched on the last floor of a Saint Petersburg apartment building, Kvartira Kosti Kreutz is unusual in more than one way: apartment, restaurant, tea salon and art gallery all at once.

There is something delightfully posh about the entrance of this hidden spot, located in the very heart of Saint Petersburg, close to the Nevsky Prospect. To be part of the happy few admitted inside Kvartira Kosti Kreutz (“Kreutz's apartment” in English), you literally need a door opener: the key to the building, which can be obtained by booking ahead. On the last floor, you will find a hybrid location, at once restaurant, bar where you can smoke hookah, and tea salon. The whole apartment is a contemporary art gallery, offering temporary exhibitions updated on a regular basis. Choose a comfortable bench seat under the glass atrium and enjoy the charming and singular atmosphere while gazing at the sumptuous view of the sky and the roofs of Saint Petersburg. The bohemian feel of the place is highlighted on the menu, dedicated to dishes from around the world. The owner's favourite recipes, which he discovered along his various travels, find a new interpretation using 100% natural ingredients. Do not miss the cep mushroom tagliatelle with cream, or the falafels and homemade pita bread. Vegans are not left out, as many alternate recipes are available. An ideal spot to warm up with a tea cup in a unique environment.
