Bookstore, bar, and restaurant, this is one of the most ‘in' places in the capital, and it's a place where everyone speaks the language of Shakespeare.

Easily identifiable by its blue facade, this former Ottoman villa is close to Lower Town, at the end of Rainbow Street. The entrance is through the bookstore, which offers a fine selection of books in English and Arabic, international press, and oriental music. What a delight to stroll in this den of culture! After some food for the spirit comes food for the body, here in a totally 70s decor. Upstairs, the bar and lounge are both studious and casual in atmosphere, with wallpaper and beaded curtains.
Relax in one of the large sofas and check emails, read a newspaper, have a drink, eat lunch, or, in the evenings, watch sports. This is a popular place in the summer, and even more so on the patio when the setting sun lights up Lower Town.
