A country visit at the Keukenhof

Just an hour from Amsterdam, visit one of the most beautiful floral parks in the world!

In the heart of the Bollenstreek region and its vast flower fields, lie the famous enchanted gardens of Keukenhof. Visitors flock to the breathtaking spectacle in the first days of spring: more than seven million daffodils, roses, orchids and hyacinths burst into a symphony of colours on the estate's 30 hectares.

Of all the flowers here, the undisputed star is the tulip, which you will admire in no fewer than 800 varieties. This bright and graceful flower was introduced to Holland at the end of the 16th century, and its popularity was such that the Dutch made it their emblem.

Sumptuous floral exhibitions are held at the Keukenhof in the springtime, from late March to mid-May. Be sure to visit the park's three pavilions, including the Beatrix Greenhouse, home to the largest collection of orchids in the world. What a nice place to stroll and daydream!
